Matt Philpot is a health and fitness professional and owner/founder of ATP Health and Fitness Norwich Limited. His passion for staying fit and healthy started when serving in the Armed Forces, where it was vital he stayed 100 percent fit! Staying in shape played a big part of his life and army career making him recognise that maintaining a healthy lifestyle, establishing good eating habits, and participating in regular exercise were key for not only keeping in shape, more importantly, it helps you feel fantastic. His enjoyment for exercise was the catalyst to pursue a career as a fitness instructor and in 2009, after serving eight years, ATP Health and Fitness Norwich was born.

Jackie Canham

I have been teaching in and around Norwich for several years, I love fitness so feel extremely lucky to do it as a job. I feel that group exercise should be all inclusive so I always try to cater to all abilities. I teach aerobics, step, spin, LBT, body conditioning and Pilates. When I’m not teaching (or exercising!) I like to spend time with my husband Michael and our two daughters. 

Sophie Appel

My name is Sophie and I’ve worked in the fitness industry for almost 20 years. I’m a freelance group fitness instructor and personal trainer based in Sprowston, Norwich. 
I love teaching group fitness because I find group settings highly motivational and a lot of fun. I’ve been teaching fitness Pilates for around 10 years and I love this contemporary and modern approach to classical Pilates. It’s something everyone can do and benefit from. From core strength to posture and mobility, I’ve got you covered! 

Charlie

Charlie is the newest member to the team and cannot wait to get teaching! After leaving school, she went to professional dance college where she trained in dance and musical theatre. Her passion for fitness and dance led her to train to become an instructor in Boogie Bounce and Broadway Boogie. She has recently qualified to become a Supa Fresh Instructor for us and has nearly completed her Level 2 Exercise To Music (or is a fully qualified L2 ETM instructor- if you post after i’ve finished the course). 


Likes: Keeping fit and healthy and socialising with friends!
Loves: Musicals, her family and Michael Bublé!Dislikes: Injections- needle phobia!

Interests:  Dancing and travelling!

Best moment ever: Teaching my first ever fitness class-Boogie Bounce! I loved seeing everyone smiling and having fun!

Online Fitness Platform – Coming Soon!!!

Are you struggling to find the time to exercise?
Whatever the reason you are not exercising, we have the solution for you!!!
ATP Health and Fitness Norwich are in the process of designing a fun and friendly online fitness platform for busy lifestyles, so you can slim down, tone your body and improve your health and fitness in the comfort of your own home.
So how will it work?
You will be able to sign up to receive 3 x 30 minute workouts a week via a new webpage, for only £15 per month, that’s just 50p a day for a structured fitness regime that is fun, varied and suited for all levels of fitness with a professional trainer that can keep you motivated throughout your journey.
Please keep an eye out on this page for more updates and I hope to be adding some short sample workouts to this page soon so you can see how the platform will work.

Fitness Classes – Important Dates (Cancellations & Changes)

7th December – Wednesday evening classes that night will be at the Horsford Village Hall

15th December – That Thursday evening the 7:45-8:45pm Get Waisted Class will run at the earlier time of 6:30-7:30pm with cover instructor Louise Bugg and therefore there will be no kettlebells and no later class.

Please see below the dates I will be closed over the Christmas period. Please keep this somewhere safe.

Fitness Class Cancellations

I will be closed during the following period over the Christmas holiday’s, the monthly membership will still remain the same price (£30) regardless of the cancellations.
I hope you will be there to maintain your fitness levels and shape throughout the Christmas period.

All classes will run as normal up until Sunday 18th December, from the 19th December – 23rd December there will be some venue changes and cancellations.

Exercise Classes Running Between 19th & 23rd Decmeber

All classes are on as normal unless stated.

Monday 19th December (Evening) There will only be one evening class on the 19th which is 7-8pm Fatburn/Insanity at the Oasis on Pound Lane in Thorpe St Andrew

Tuesday 20th December there will be NO morning Spixworth Class and the Tuesday evening classes will be at the Norman Centre (Bignold Rd, Mile Cross) at the usual times.

Wednesday 21st December (Evening) The evening classes will be at the Hellesdon Community Centre at the usual times.

Thursday 22nd December (Evening) There will be NO classes that evening in Drayton.

Exercise Classes Running Between 24th December & Monday 2nd January

Saturday 24th December – 9:30 – 10:30am Xmas Combat – Hellesdon Community Centre.

Wednesday 28th December – 6:30 – 7:30pm Legs bums & tums/Combat – Thorpe Marriott Village Hall.

Thursday 29th December – 6:30 – 7:25pm Kettlebell, Abs & Combat- Hellesdon Community Centre.
Thursday 29th December – 7:35 – 8:25pm FATBURN/HIIT- Hellesdon Community Centre

All classes will resume as normal on Tuesday 3rd January, exempt the Tuesday morning Spixworth Class which is cancelled and will restart on the 10th January.
